Fifty-five years ago, Win Brignac started the company with one small copier as a demonstrator machine and a few supplies stored on a shelf in a corner of his uncle’s warehouse. That copier sold for $199.00 and took approximately one minute to make each copy at a cost of 10 cents per copy. For its time, that machine was the Cadillac of the copier industry.

Baton Rouge Duplicating Products evolved from a one-man business into the company it is today after merging with Offset Equipment and Supplies, Inc in 1962. Win purchased the existing stock of the business in 1974, and Baton Rouge Duplicating Products was created as a family business that offered great products and exceptional customer service.

Moving into the 21st century, BRDP has changed as technology has changed. Sales, service and support on typewriters, fax machines, printers, and copiers has morphed into digital, multi-functional machines that can do it all --in one machine-- and in color! One honor bestowed upon our company is the Gold Medallion Dealer acknowledgement from Kyocera Mita recognizing BRDP as one of the top service dealers in the country.

One of BRDP’s proudest moments was when we were awardedthe 2006 Douglas Manship, Sr. Torch Award for Ethics in Business by the Better Business Bureau of South Central Louisiana.

BRDP has been a family owned and operated business from its beginning.
Pat Brignac, Win’s wife, starting working in 1974 as a bookkeeper and the full time salesperson. Malcolm Brignac, their son, worked from 1982 as service technician. He eventually purchased the company in 1996. Patricia Brignac Talbot began working in 1989 and has served in many capacities such as sales, service and administration. She has been the President since 1999 and on July 27, 2006, she became the full owner of BRDP.
